No gloating????

So, Lance kills/embarrasses/annoys/finishes Jan, and no one is posting? Where is everyone? Jan builds in an excuse by taking out his team car, and no one is laughing? Mayo, well we know what that is short for. Zabriskie, give him a couple of years, he may be the next US big man, and he's got a funny sense of humor, too.

Was that a historic moment, or what, when Lance blew by Jan? Vino is at least for now the main challenger. Jan said no one makes up more than 45 seconds on Lance, ever. Guess the tour is over.

Anyway, Fabio and I rode the ride we were supposed to ride for training camp. 6:30 AM saturday, as cold as 37 and as hot as 64 for about 60 miles. Nice climb to the continental divide, with a killer uphill back to his condo. Definitely a beautiful ride, and I got to enjoy it plenty riding well behind Fabio on the hills.

Some hill repeat training on Sunday and now some rest before the big Triple. I'm looking for a fast time to get in before the thunderstorms.

Do you think when Big Tex blasted past Jan that he felt just like Redlight did when Tommy D. went by him in the Bob Cook?

I think that Jan was just trying to make sure that he is in 'The Photo' of the 2005 TDF. If not for letting Lance pass him, he might have been a non-factor in the historical recap of #7.
